PhD in Fine Arts from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, exploring transdisciplinary creation through the relationship between art, science, and technology and their sociocultural impact, adopting a critical, aesthetic, and/or propositional perspective. His artistic practice is complemented by research on technological use and development, as well as the praxis of science in a creative way through experimental pedagogical initiatives in universities, schools, cultural centers, and museums. His work explores and combines microbiology, biotechnology, citizen science, visual and plastic arts, digital and biological prototyping, and software and hardware development to create artistic pieces, installations, and projects.
He is currently leading the program “BioCrea, Open Space for Creative Biology,” focused on developing hands-on biology and biohacking educational activities.
