The Degree in Digital Design and the Degree in Animation are part of the Art and Humanities area of knowledge. The key aspect is that it is a vocational choice and the students are people with creative concerns, for the Degree in Digital Design it is essential that the student has artistic concerns, although not necessary that they proceed from the Baccalaureate of Arts, since during the first year U-tad students receive basic training specific to the area.
Animation students do not have to know how to draw and can do the 3D and VFX itinerary that is not related to the drawing area, however they have drawing subjects and it is recommended that they have knowledge. To carry out the 2D itinerary, the student must have a solid knowledge of drawing.

The candidate can request the study of their academic recognition records (Academic Recognition of Credits) of their previous higher studies. The student needs to submit the list of the passed subjects as well as the academic program.
The student must bring the essential consumable material for the normalized development of the subjects. In the degrees related to the Area of Art Animation and Digital Design, U-tad provides common use material (such as paper, plasticine, clay, canvas, rigid structures, …) leaving at the student’s expense the individual use materials (pencil , charcoals, notebooks, notepads, burins, …)
Due to the workload and projects that students must develop, which implies the intensive use of technology – both in hardware and software – inside and outside the University, the student must bring their own laptop.
U-tad offers the possibility of acquiring it at special prices from our suppliers. The student can bring their own equipment or purchase one of their choice as long as they meet the minimum necessary requirements *.
The software licenses required to take the subjects and for the development of projects will be provided by the University.
* U-tad will provide all the technical information and the characteristics that computers must have depending on the degree to be taken.
The student has access to the university facilities such as the Cintiqs classrooms, natural drawing, sculpture, photographic set, and Virtual and Augmented Reality also outside of their class hours.
U-tad provides the corresponding space so that students can use computer equipment and computers outside of class hours (library and other classrooms). Similarly, and depending on the availability of the classrooms, the appropriate procedures are established for their use by the students outside the school hours
* U-tad will provide all the technical requirement information and the characteristics that computers must have depending on the degree to be taken.
We have all the Erasmus agreements of the UCJC and, additionally, we are signing specific agreements with specialized universities in our areas of knowledge.
Students can apply for the Erasmus exchange in the 3rd or 4th year of their degree, lasting one semester (30 ECTS).
