He is a Telecommunications Engineer with more than 12 years of experience in mobile communications and 26 years in microelectronics, semiconductors, failure analysis and equipment design and redesign.

He participated in several EU-funded mobile, wireless and sensor network research projects in the field of mobile communications, most notably WINNER, the research project that formed the basis for mobile 4G in 3GPP (LTE and LTE-Advanced). He has authored books, patents, and more than 20 papers in top international conferences, IEEE (PIMRC, VTC, WPMC, ESREF, etc.) on mobile communications and microelectronics. He is the technical manager of Indoor Networks and special mobile solutions technologies at Telefónica, in the group of the Global Chief Technical Officer of Networks (Global CTO).
