Juan Manuel Díaz Lima

Native of Algeciras. He holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from URJC. Since 2010, he has been teaching at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and at the Centro Universitario de Tecnología y Arte Digital, U-TAD. Professionally, he has worked as a scriptwriter for television and advertising, as well as directed numerous short films, including Desenfocado (2006), awarded at the Festival de Cortometrajes de calle 54 in Madrid, and Veo Veo (2007), RTVA winner for Andalusian audiovisual creation. His latest documentaries show his interest in social issues, including Andrés y Javier (2010) and El camino de vuelta (2011). Finally, he directed the documentary El traje de Superman (2018), awarded in several festivals, including the award for best international short documentary in the tenth edition of the International Festival of Puerto Rico. He is currently working in advertising.
