Velckro is the name with which Marcos Figueiredo (1977, Torrejón de Ardoz) signs his work. He studied graphic design at Escola Massana in Barcelona and a Master of Art Direction at ZINK! Madrid. He began working in several graphic design studios in the capital and from there he made the leap to large advertising agencies with international projection. In 2011 he began his career as a freelancer, doing graphic design and illustration work for clients such as Red Bull, Jägermeister, Wired USA, Ayuda en Acción, ASOS London or Heineken. He has been teaching at Instituto Europeo di Design and Miami Ad School. He was also jury in the ADG Laus Awards and in the National Creativity Awards of the c of c.
