Rubén Sánchez Trigos is a doctor specialized in the study of fantastic fiction. Has devoted articles to this subject in books such as Historia de lo fantástico de la cultura española and Historia de la ciencia ficción en la cultura española, among others. Author of the essay La orgía de los muertos (The Orgy of the Dead) A History of Spanish Zombie Cinema (Shangrilá, 2019.) Author of the novels Los huéspedes (Drakul) and Bajo el barro (Planeta.) As a screenwriter, he has worked on Verónica (Paco Plaza, 2017) and the short film El intruso (David Cánovas, 2005), nominated for the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film, among others, and as a character creator for the videogame A place for the unwilling, nominated to the Gamelab Award for Best Narrative 2020. Teaches screenwriting and literature at U-tad, and in the URJC’s Master’s Degree in Screenwriting.
