Cristina Ruiz-Poveda Vera

Cristina joined the U-tad team as a lecturer in 2019. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a PhD from the University of Florida. Her research work focuses on three areas: transnational cinemas, especially in Latin America and Europe; the role of women in contemporary European audiovisuals; and the literacy and media habits of Generation Z, with special attention to their use of interactive media. She worked as a 3D animation film production assistant and has participated in different film festivals, such as San Sebastian.
