Profesora Titular por ANECA con un sexenio vivo en 2019 por el CNEAI. Directora de Investigación y Directora del grupo de Investigación Computer-Inmersive Graphics & Virtual Simulations en U-tad. Ha trabajado en más de 18 proyectos de investigación desde 2006. Entre ellos destacan los proyectos europeos ‘The Blue Brain’ y ‘The Human Brain Project’, que por su gran envergadura y presupuesto (1.2 billones de euros) se enmarcan en el 7º Marco Europeo.
Investigadora Principal de múltiples proyectos de I+D+i junto con entidades como el Hospital Universitario La Paz, Indra, Fundación Orange, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Ministerio de Educación, etc.
Profesora Universitaria desde 2008, escritora de más de 40 libros con la editorial Ra-Ma, autora de 18 artículos JCR en revistas de alto impacto, ponente en más de 30 congresos científicos.
